Connect your mind, body, spirit and voice. In this unique class, Kristine helps students to access their most authentic, intuitive singing and performing voice. Kristine brings her 40 years as a performer, 10 plus years as a teacher and her training as a certified RYT® yoga instructor, incorporating yoga, breathing, and mindfulness techniques to open the body and mind. You don’t have to be a practitioner of yoga or meditation; these are simple poses and techniques that enable you to connect more deeply to your material and your instincts as a performer. Then, you’ll sing the song and let it go where it goes. We’ll break it down and discuss what’s working and not working in the piece. The focus will be on where you’re feeling it and how to help you be 100% present in that moment in the song. We’ll take you out of your head and move you into your expression of that song’s musical story. To begin, students should bring material they are familiar with musically and lyrically. This is good for helping to find the way into newer material or to revisit old material you haven’t been able to crack yet.

Professional and aspiring performers will receive in-depth coaching to strengthen their material and unique point of view – to be at their best for auditions and performances. Drawing from 40 years of performing on Broadway, national tours, Off-Broadway, and cabaret, as well as a decade of successfully coaching performers, Kristine guides students on developing new and existing audition and performance material. Students can work on 16- and 32-bar cuts, songs, scenes, sides or monologues; expand their audition books; and craft written material for club acts, benefits, and variety shows. Most importantly, Kristine will help you discover and utilize what sets you apart on stage. Students include musical theater and dramatic actors, comedians, singers, cabaret and other performance artists of all ages.
